You wouldn’t know it from visiting Whitechapel these days, but this used to be one of the dodgiest parts of London. Go back in time just a few decades and Whitechapel was the heart of the East End of London, once known for poverty and unsavoury behaviour. These were the streets where Jack the Ripper stalked his victims.
